It was indeed an informative seminar that, the 8th International Conference on Marine Technology (MARTEC) 2012 & International Marine Science And Maritime Technology Undergraduate Symposium have empowered me with knowledge, wisdom and open another wide horizon of view in me towards this gigantic sector - Marine & Maritime Field.

Though it was only a 3 days event, but the content was very pack, well structured and informative. This is the first time ever I joined MARTEC/IMSMART, however, it was my honour to be called upon as one of the keynote presenter by the Nautical Dept of UMT for the IMSMART presentation session on "A study on the Navigational Safety of Inland Water Transport System (IWTS) in Malaysia".

There were delegates from Indonesia, Singapore, Korean, Nigeria, Kuwait, and etc...

From Malaysia, there were representatives from National University of Malaysia, National Defense University of Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia, University of Malaysia, Kelantan (UMK), UNI KL and etc...

The most appreciated things throughout the event are the newly established networking/friends, knowledge, and the wide horizon of viewpoint.

Lessons Learnt:

[01] Technology has dictated out living, and without business, there is no technology.

[02] Don't fool by the economics. 

[03] Wherever there is gold available, people will wake up, keep their eyes open and fight till the last breath. 

[04] In life, competition never ends. 

[05] Oil & Gas is where the money located at the moment...

[06] Big doesn't mean good.  Pick the best. 

[07] The maritime world needs people like you and me to sustain it, provided you are smart people.

[08] The big will eat up the small, unless you are able to compete with the giant.

[09] etc...
